Here are the two Peter Singer videos - The one I showed you the other day and another one in which he is delivering the same message but just with him talking on the screen. I think this is an interesting example to help you consider the strengths and weaknesses of presenting information in different formats. For instance, what is lost or gained by Peter Singer speaking compared to the video with the text, the colors, images, and music?

Well, it is really great to see that so many of you were moved and inspired by Harriet McBryde Johnson's essay "Unspeakable Conversations." As she mentioned in the piece, there was a lot of controversy and frankly, disapproval of her interactions with Peter Singer. Unfortunately, Harriet McBryde Johnson passed away in 2008 and her New York Times Tribute was written by Peter Singer. As you can imagine, this didn't go over well with many individuals in the disability rights movement.

I am including below a link to the New York Times Tribute and to a post from blogger from "Not Dead Yet" reacting to the selection of Peter Singer as the individual to memorialize Johnson.

I am really interested in your thoughts.
